MIB Summer 2025 Trip Recap: Music, Culture, and Connection Across the Globe

This summer, we had the incredible opportunity to travel internationally and share our passion for music on a global stage. With the help of ACFEA, we embarked on a musical journey that took us to Poland and Wales, combining cultural exchange, performance, and unforgettable memories.

From July 3rd–5th, we were honored to be invited to perform in the 50th Anniversary of the Scholares Minores Musica Antiqua Festival in Poland—a celebration of culture, history, and the deep ties that music creates across borders. Our connection to this festival began 11 years ago when we first met the Scholares Minores choir through the Coro Normalista Festival in Puebla, Mexico. It was a joy to reconnect with old friends and make new ones as we sang alongside over 200 performers during the grand finale!

From there, we traveled to Wales (July 6th–14th) to compete in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod—our second time participating in this world-renowned festival. We’re thrilled to share that we placed 1st in the Men's Choir category and 3rd in the Folk Song category! These achievements were made even more meaningful as we dedicated our season to Professor Joseph Huszti in honor of his incredible legacy.

This trip was more than just competition—it was about community, growth, and sharing the universal language of music. We are incredibly grateful for this experience and can’t wait for what comes next!
